Joined the HCI team in 2020

Amy attended high school in Willmar, MN, and obtained a four-year degree in biology from the College of St. Benedict. Her first role was as a chemist at Ecolab, and she went on to become a project manager in continuous process improvement.

Amy and her family moved to Northfield 16 years ago. She worked part-time jobs with the YMCA and the school district before joining HCI.

Amy has held a few positions at HCI over the years, from Grant Manager (managing the HCI and Faribault Public Schools portfolios), to Data Team Lead, to Network Impact Coordinator for Rice County PRIMEtime. As Network Impact Coordinator, Amy supported out-of-school time programs in Rice County with grant writing and management, data tracking and analysis, convening, policy work, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Amy has over ten years of Continuous Process Improvement experience, which has seen her supporting HCI as a Results-Based Facilitation facilitator, the Ignite Afterschool M3 Continuous Improvement Process facilitator, and a Lean Six Sigma black belt practitioner. She also has over a decade of experience in project and program management.

Now, as Data Manager, Amy leads the data team to ensure efficiency, accuracy and integrity across our systems.

The thing Amy likes most about working at HCI is working with amazing people who are making an impact with young people in Rice County!

Fun facts: Amy can’t go a day without chocolate. She will pick weeds wherever she goes. She likes to get up early while the rest of her family is sleeping, and summer is her favorite season.
